Indonesia Visa on Arrival & VoA Extension

Visa on Arrival Extension applies when foreign visitors plan to spend more than 30 days in the country. The purpose of the extension is to allow foreigners to prolong the stay for a total of 60 days of stay.

What is Visa on Arrival Indonesia?

Visa on Arrival is a type of short term single entry visa that you can obtain when you enter Indonesia, typically at the local immigration office in airport or other ports of entry.

 

Foreign nationals from selected countries can utilise the VOA Indonesia for tourism or government visits, as it is valid for 30 days and the possibility of a 30 day extension. The VOA is open to citizens of many countries who can utilise it for tourism, government visits, business trips, purchasing goods, and transit.

Visal Validity

Visa on Arrival is valid for 30 days and can be extended for another 30 days. The Visa on Arrival cannot be converted into other visa types, therefore, you must leave Indonesia first should you want to apply for a visa afterwards.

The Indonesian Visa on Arrival is designed to enable foreign visitors to stay in Indonesia without the need for a pre-arranged visa from the Indonesian Embassy, applicable to specific countries. It is accessible upon arrival in Indonesia through the International Airport, cross-border posts and even online. This particular visa is given to foreigners who wish to stay in Indonesia, initially for 30 days, with the opportunity for a single extension allowing for another 30 days. Currently, 97 countries are allowed to go to Indonesia using VoA.
