Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a visit visa, a multiple-entry visa, and a single-entry visit visa to the United Arab Emirates?

A visit visa allows travellers to enter the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for tourism or short-term purposes. This can be issued as either a single-entry or a multiple-entry visa.

A single-entry visit visa permits the applicant to enter the UAE once and stay for a fixed duration—usually 30 or 60 days. Once the holder exits the country, the visa becomes invalid.

Meanwhile, a multiple-entry visa allows frequent travellers to enter and exit the UAE multiple times within the visa’s validity period (often 30, 60, or 90 days), without needing to reapply for a new visa after each trip. This is ideal for business travellers, short-term project workers, or those who plan to visit neighbouring countries and return to the UAE.

Fees are typically quoted in AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham), and the exact process, cost, and required documents may vary depending on the applicant’s nationality.

Can I apply for a multiple-entry visa to stay in the UAE, and how does it differ from a single entry visa in the UAE?

Yes, applicants can apply online for a multiple-entry visa to stay in the UAE, especially if they have a reason for repeated travel. The main difference from a single entry visa in the UAE lies in flexibility: multiple-entry visas allow you to exit and re-enter the UAE during the visa validity without the need to apply again.

The applicant must meet the eligibility criteria, which usually includes providing proof of travel itinerary, financial stability, and sometimes hotel or sponsor documentation. The fees, payable in AED, will also differ based on the visa type and the duration of stay.

Want to travel to the UAE with a 90-day entry permit?

If you’re planning to travel to the UAE for an extended stay, the 90-day visa (or entry permit) is a popular option among visitors from Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries.

  • The visa allows a continuous 90-day stay in the UAE.
  • It can be either single or multiple-entry, depending on your application.
  • Processing times and requirements may vary based on your nationality.

For professional and hassle-free assistance, it’s highly recommended to work with a licensed agent like LMI Consultancy.

The UAE embassy in Jakarta may not directly issue visit visas; hence, applying through an authorized visa agent or sponsor is often more efficient.

LMI Consultancy can help streamline your application process, ensure your documents are complete, and advise on the best visa type based on your travel plans.
