What is Schengen Visa and who is it for?

A Short-Stay Visa Schengen allows travellers to visit the Netherlands and other Schengen countries for tourism, family visits, business trips (without receiving payment), or other short-term purposes. The visa is valid for up to 180 days, with a maximum permitted stay of 90 days within that period.

Short-Stay Schengen Visa for The Netherlands

Single-Entry Visa

This visa permits one entry into the Schengen Zone. Once you leave the Netherlands or any other Schengen country, the visa is automatically revoked—even if its validity period has not yet expired.

Multiple-Entry Visa

If you frequently travel to the Netherlands within the same year, you may qualify for a Multiple-Entry Visa, which can be valid for up to 5 years. With this visa, you can enter and exit the Schengen Zone multiple times within the 180-day validity window, as long as your total stay does not exceed 90 days.
