Business Single Entry Pre-Investment Visa Indonesia

This visa is ideal for visitors who wish to investigate the economic growth before starting a business in Indonesia. It permits such activities as site visits, field surveys and/or feasibility studies. It allows you to stay for up to 180 days and is extendable for an additional 180 days.
There are two types of pre-investment visas in Indonesia
Single Entry Pre-Investment Visa C12
This Single Entry Visa grants a residence permit in Indonesia for 180 days (6 months).The single-entry pre-investment visa (C12) provides a 6 month permit to explore business opportunities in Indonesia. However, this visa is only valid for a single entry, so if you leave the country during this period, you will need to apply for a new visa.
Multiple Entry Pre-Investment Visa D12
The D12 Pre-Investment Visa allows foreign nationals to enter Indonesia multiple times to conduct pre-investment related activities.This D12 Multiple Entry Visa permits foreign nationals to repeatedly enter Indonesia for pre-investment activities.
What Visa Holders Can Do
- Conduct activities related to starting a business, including field surveys and/or feasibility studies
- Participate in seminars, conferences, and workshops
- Conduct market research and quality inspections
- Tourism and Family Visit
What Visa Holders Cannot Do
- Perform works and business activities that generate income.
- Engage in activities that require a work permit
- Exit and re-enter Indonesia without applying for a new visa
- Stay longer than the visa validity period without extension
Visa Validity
Single Entry Pre-Investment Visa grants an initial 180 day stay in Indonesia and is extendable.

- Original application letter of Passport Mutation
- Original Letter of Authorization
- Coloured copy of ID card (KTP) sponsor
- Original passport
- Limited stay Permit (ITK Online)
- Personal bank statement with minimum USD 2000 or equivalent (latest 3 months)
- Other documents if required

Can I convert the Single Entry Pre-Investment Visa to an Investor KITAS?
Generally, yes. The Single Entry Pre-Investment Visa is designed to allow foreign investors to explore investment opportunities in Indonesia. It can typically be converted to a KITAS (specifically an Investor KITAS) once you’ve established your investment and met the necessary requirements.
What happens if I make money on my Single Entry Business Visa?
This is a serious issue. A Single Entry Business Visa is for business activities like attending meetings, conferences, and negotiations.
It does not permit you to work or generate income in Indonesia.
How do I extend my Single Entry Pre-Investment Visa?
To extend a Single Entry Pre-Investment Visa (C12) in Indonesia, one must submit an application to the Immigration Office. Alternatively, online applications may be submitted through evisa.imigrasi.com. Please be aware that several conditions precedent are required before initiating the process, making engagement with an immigration consultant highly advisable.
