A Multiple Entry Business Visa (MEBV) grants foreign nationals the right to enter Indonesia repeatedly for business activities, subject to a cumulative stay not exceeding 180 days within the visa’s validity. Each visit will be granted 60 days of stay and is not subject to renewal.

The Multiple Entry Visit Visa allows travellers to enter Indonesia multiple times within a validity period, suitable for those who frequently visit Bali or Jakarta for leisure or family purposes.
Multiple Entry Business Visa
Ideal for professionals making repeated business trips to Indonesia. Valid for up to 2 years, commonly used by those doing business in Jakarta and Bali.
Multiple Entry Pre-Investment Visa
Designed for foreign investors exploring business opportunities in Indonesia. Grants multiple entries over 2 years to cities like Jakarta and Bali for site visits and meetings.
What Visa Holders Can Do
- Attend business meetings and negotiations
- Purchase goods
- Undertake negotiations and execute contracts and memoranda of understanding unrelated to commercial ventures.

The Multiple Entry Business Visa grants an initial 60 day stay in Indonesia and is extendable twice, resulting in a maximum stay of 180 days.

Single Entry Business Visa
This visa is tailored for professionals entering Indonesia for specific business purposes such as attending conferences, client meetings, or feasibility studies. Valid for 60 days and extendable up to 180 days, it does not permit direct employment but is a key tool for project-based or consultancy work.
Work Visa (KITAS)
A Work KITAS (Limited Stay Permit) is issued to foreign nationals formally employed by a registered Indonesian entity. It enables legal residence and employment in Indonesia and requires a sponsorship letter, a valid job title, and approval from the Ministry of Manpower. This visa is essential for long-term expatriate assignments and skilled professionals.
Investor Visa KITAS
The Investor KITAS is designed for foreign investors who own shares in an Indonesian company (PT PMA). It offers stay and work rights without requiring a separate work permit (IMTA), significantly simplifying the relocation and operational setup process for investors. Minimum capital investment requirements apply, aligning with Indonesia’s focus on attracting sustainable foreign capital.
Visa Extension in Indonesia
Most visa types, including VoA, business, and work visas, can be extended under certain conditions. Extensions are processed through local immigration offices and must be initiated before the visa expiry date. Regular extension policies are in place to support long-term business continuity and project completion across sectors.

Can I work or conduct business on a Multiple Entry Business Visa?
No.You can conduct certain business activities on a Single Entry Business Visa, but you cannot work or be employed. Permitted business activities generally include attending business meetings, conferences, and seminars or conducting market research and surveys that does not generate income.
Is there a limit to the number of entries?
There is no limit to the number of entries you can make during the validity period of the visa, as long as each stay does not exceed 60 days
Is sponsorship required for the application?
Yes, applicants need an invitation letter from a local sponsor or organization in Indonesia to support their application for the MEBV
