Types of Indonesia Visas for Business
If you are visiting Indonesia for business purposes, you will require a business sponsor prior to arriving in Indonesia. There are a variety of visas that you may consider such as Single Entry Business Visa, Multiple Entry Business Visa, Work KITAS, or Investor KITAS. Each visa has specific benefits and the choice will depend on your specific circumstances. All of the aforementioned visas are multiple entry visas, apart from the Single Entry Business Visa which only allows admittance to Indonesia once. Processing time will vary from visa to visa, but all will provide you with an e-visa prior to entry.

Types of Visas for Tourism
Several pathways exist for leisure travel, short stays, and social visits:
- Visa Exemption (for ASEAN nationals): 30-day stay, non-extendable
- Visa on Arrival (VoA): A Visa that can be obtained upon arrival in Indonesia, available to 90+ nationalities, 30 days, extendable once
- Electronic Visa on Arrival (eVOA): apply online before travelling for faster entry
- Single Entry Tourist Visa: 60-day stay, extendable up to 180 days
All visas require a registered Indonesian sponsor, and processing is largely completed offshore via the official immigration e-visa system before travelling.

A fast and practical visa option for eligible nationalities, suitable for tourism and limited meetings. It does not permit employment.

Visa Exemption for Selected Countries
Foreign tourists from ASEAN members and several other countries can enjoy visa free entry (Negara Bebas Visa) into Indonesia for up to 30 days. This free visa cannot be extended and is valid strictly for tourism purposes, social, or cultural visits.
Indonesia Visa Extension
Visitors wishing to remain in Indonesia beyond their initial visa period must apply for an extension before your visa expires. Processing must be done onshore through immigration offices, with biometric attendance required for VoA extensions.

General Visa Requirements for Indonesian Tourist Visa
While requirements vary based on visa category, travellers can generally expect the following:
- A passport valid for at least 6 (six) months from the date of arrival
- A confirmed return or onward ticket
- Proof of sufficient funds to support your stay

Indonesia Arrival Card
Travelling to Indonesia now requires travellers to complete an Arrival Card prior to entry — a digital form introduced by the Directorate General of Immigration to streamline airport processing and confirm compliance with entry requirements. Indonesia Visa Online Application
Applying for an Indonesia e-visa is now fully digital via evisa.imigrasi.go.id. You must choose the correct visa, upload your travel document, and pay the application fee.

How many visa types for business are there?
