Yes. It’s important to note that if you hold a valid visa at the time of travel, it will be considered used, even if your itinerary includes a visit to a visa-free region. For example, if you travel from Indonesia to Jeju, South Korea, and then back to Indonesia (or from another country), your visa will be marked as “USED.”

Please be advised that visa application fees are non-refundable, regardless of the application outcome.

Yes, you can re-apply after a waiting period. The standard waiting period is 3 months, except for Spouse visa applicants, who can re-apply after 6 months.

Yes, the Republic of Korea offers an Electronic Travel Authorization system, officially known as the K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization). It is required for nationals of certain countries who wish to visit Korea without a visa for short-term stays, such as tourism, business meetings, or family visits.

As of now, Indonesian passport holders still require a visa to enter South Korea and are not eligible for the K-ETA program. All Indonesian travelers must apply through the Korean Embassy or via the official visa application channels prior to departure.

Always check the latest updates from the K-ETA portal or the official Korean visa portal for eligibility and requirements, as policies may change based on diplomatic agreements or travel safety regulations.

Yes, the Republic of Korea has implemented a visa exemption or visa waiver program for certain countries, allowing eligible travelers to stay in Korea for a limited period without a visa for tourism, transit, or specific short-term purposes.

However, Indonesia is not currently included in this exemption list, so Indonesian citizens still need a visa to visit Korea, even for short stays. All visa applications must be submitted through the Korean Embassy or the official Korean visa portal, and applicants are advised to prepare the necessary documentation well in advance of their intended travel date.

That said, travelers from countries that do benefit from the waiver may still be required to register through the K-ETA system, depending on the type and purpose of their travel.
