The Online Single Submission Risk-Based Approach (OSS-RBA) is streamlining business startups in Indonesia. Businesses of all sizes, especially UMKM, benefit from this risk-based licensing system. Â
The OSS-RBA simplifies licensing by focusing on risk levels. To ensure proper oversight, high-risk businesses must obtain OSS-RBA licenses. Significantly, many low-risk businesses forgo licensing and inspections, streamlining their operations and reducing costs. By reducing the number of licenses that need verification, the OSS-RBA speeds up approvals for high-risk businesses, simplifying their licensing process.
As an Indonesian business owner, ensuring your data is secure and up-to-date is crucial. That’s why understanding the Online Single Submission (OSS) data migration process is essential. If you have a Business Identification Number (NIB), you have two main types of migration options available:
Migrating your account from the older OSS 1.1 system to the newer OSS Risk-Based Approach (RBA) system is a straightforward process. The primary step involves changing your registered email address. This is because the OSS RBA system requires each company with an NIB to use a unique company email address. Previously, in OSS version 1.1, a single company email could be used for multiple companies.
Data migration is the second type of OSS RBA migration. This option is for business owners who already have an NIB but haven’t yet activated it. Data migration allows you to update your business information.
Once your NIB becomes active, this will be reflected in your OSS RBA account, indicating that your Business Field Code (KBLI) is also active. If there are any changes in company shareholders or Articles of Association (AD/ART), companies with an active NIB must perform a data migration to reflect these updates.
