FAQ

How to stay in Indonesia longer than 180 days?

If a holder of a single-entry visa wishes to stay beyond 180 days, they may apply for a status change to another visa type (ITAS), subject to the relevant regulations.

No, you cannot work in Indonesia using a Single Entry Visa. This visa is specifically designed for short term stays for reasons not other than tourism and non-commercial activities.

If your intention is to work in Indonesia, you will need to apply for a specific work visa, also known as a KITAS (Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas) or a Limited Stay Permit Card. This visa is given to foreigners who have secured employment with an Indonesia company and accompanied with a valid HPK document and work permit (IMTA).

As a visa holder, it is important to remember to extend it before your visa expires.

No overstay fee applies if your visa remains valid at the time of submission to immigration authorities.

If your nationality is on the Visa on Arrival list and you don’t mind extending your visa for another 30 days or leaving the country, then you could. Please note that this would be significantly more expensive and time consuming overall. Immigration may also stop you for questioning if you repeatedly do this and you will not be able to apply for any visa types whilst in the country.

Where can I access visa application form for the electronic visa tourist (e-visa)?

As of 2024, Indonesia has encouraged online visa application. To apply for a visa to Indonesia, you can access the form through the official Molina website at www.evisa.imigrasi.go.id, or simply reach one of our professional consultants to navigate you through a seamless visa process.
